Hometown: I grew up in Lebanon, Mo., where I had my first radio job at station KLWT (which we called "Keep Listening, We're Trying"). I now reside in Montgomery Village, Md.
Occupation: I'm a
talk show host and news anchor with
Westwood One Radio, heard on over 500 radio stations nationwide, including on
3WT, 107.7-FM and 1500-AM in Washington, D.C.
SPJ/D.C. Pro member since... June 14, 1973 (although I belonged to the Chicago chapter 1980-83).
My journalism story: My journalism story begins at KLWT, where my various duties included occasional news work.I continued that at KICK of Springfield, Mo., along with rock and roll DJ work while in college at what is now Missouri State University.In my final two years there, I did news exclusively at KWTO in Springfield.
