Arelis Hernandez, a 2007 SDXDC scholarship recipient
at the University of Maryland now working for the Orlando Sentinel, was this spring las named a co-winner of a national reporting award presented by The American Society of News Editors (ASNE). The prize was presented for the team’s reporting on diversity. Ms Hernandez has frequently cited our foundation’s assistance (with financial aid and her first job) as key in helping her get started.
