Former SPJ DC Pro Chapter President Anne Nunamaker died April 10. She was diagnosed with liver cancer in March.

Dr. Nunamaker served as chapter president from 1988-89 and was awarded the Chapter's Distinguished Service Award in 1999. After a career at the University of Maryland she became an associate professor of journalism at Howard University. She was a graduate of Vanderbilt University.
